He came home from war and She said “YES!!!”
I first spoke with Lariah several months ago. She admitted to blog stalking us for a while and after lots of research, she felt that we would be the best fit to capture her boyfriends Camp Lejeune Military Homecoming. I was so humbled but excited about this opportunity. Daniel was first expected to arrive to Camp Lejeune in September, however two weeks ago he got a knock on his door and was told that he was leaving in 2 weeks! Lariah told me she was on skype with him at that moment and that she just freaked out! She was stoked.
When we got to Camp Lejeune I told Lariah that I would hang out and talk, but that she needed to know that my job is to document the homecoming and not to have random conversations as we await Daniels Camp Lejeune Military Homecoming. What makes that interesting is that Lariah did not know any of the families or wives that were also waiting. Actually Daniel wasn’t even from that unit. They just sent him with them because they had extra space on the airplane.
Lariah felt so awkward that I had to get a picture of the awkward turtle that was in the room
So finally after waiting for 2 hours, the bus pulls up. The men started getting off the bus, and Lariah stood back. All of those wives and children that waited with us ran into the open arms of their military heroes. And then she saw him. She ran and jumped into his arms. FINALLY HE WAS HOME!!!!!
They hugged, they kissed. And then he pushed her off him. She was confused. Then he falls on one knee and says “Will you marry me?” She said “YES!!!!!!!!!!!”
Daniel, welcome home!!! And congratulations to you and Lariah!!!!!!
